Analysis of electricity consumption is very important because it is related to the resilience of a country. To overcome the fluctuations in the data, data mining techniques, one of which is SVR, could be performed. The most important thing when creating a model is choosing the most suitable parameters for the SVR. In this article, the development of Seasonal Smooth Support Vector Newton-Armijo and Firefly algorithms is discussed in detail. The result shows that the firefly algorithm, one of the metaheuristic techniques, provides accuracy of MAPE=0.0243% RMSE=87.417, respectively.

Galvanized steel pipes are widely used in different applications specifically when corrosive environment exists. Examples of their uses are transferring domestic water, wet compressed air and in structural works. In most of those uses, galvanized pipes have to be either welded together or welded to other components. Those welded joints are usually subjected to bending stress. In this paper, experimental and finite element (FE) study was carried out to investigate the behavior of welded A53 B galvanized pipes subjected to bending loading. The experimental study involved tensile testing of the pipe material to determine its mechanical properties. In addition, a block of the weld metal was manufactured and tensile specimen were cut out of it. Those specimens were then tested to measure the mechanical properties of the weld metal. Pieces of the galvanized pipe, each is 300mm, were welded together using arc welding. A welded pair of pipes was sliced longitudinally and subjected to bending load in two different direction: root-bending and face-bending. FE study was carried out on models of the welded pipes. The mechanical properties of the pipe and the weld materials were implemented in the FE analyses. The obtained results revealed that, the pipe material has shown non-homogeneity in tensile testing. Moreover, the face-bending strength is two times the root-bending strength. The FE analysis was accurately able to predict the maximum loading the joint can support

Objective: To investigate the incidence of tuberculosis from 2001 to 2018, to recognize the situation and behavior of the disease. Method: a descriptive epidemiological study with retrospective data from confirmed tuberculosis cases reported in Piauí in the Notification of Disease Information System. The incidence coefficient of each year was calculated and descriptive analyzes of the sociodemographic and clinical variables of the cases were performed. Results: The social characteristics show the majority of males, young adult, incomplete elementary school, urban residents. Clinically, there was a predominance of new cases, pulmonary form, HIV test “not performed closed by cure. Conclusion: despite the strategies carried out for the elimination of the disease, fragility in tuberculosis care is still identified. Therefore, the planning of actions focused on reality and the needs of the population becomes relevant.

This study presents, Multi-objective optimization of one quality measures material removal rate (MRR) while the other quality measures surface roughness (Ra) is kept constant to a certain value. It is a new way to multi-objective optimization proposed and used in this paper. No such work has been reported previously. A new Multiphase Jaya Algorithm (MJA) is proposed and used in this paper which overcomes the limitation and improves the reliability of the classical Jaya Algorithm. Multiphase Jaya Algorithm (MJA) is used to solve this constrained multi-objective problem. Unconventional machining processes are required for modern manufacturing industries to machine difficult-to-cut materials. Electrical discharge machining (EDM) is one of an important unconventional machining process. Generally, the multi-objective algorithm generates a single result and the user has to accept this result and there is no choice for the researcher. Multiphase Jaya Algorithm with constrained Ra is used to find the best value of MRR. We constrained Ra to a certain limit and try to optimize (maximize) MRR. In the next step, we slightly increase the limit of Ra and again try to maximize MRR for corresponding Ra. Thus a large number of combinations for Ra and MRR achieved. The procedure has been demonstrated in this paper. MJA is an improved version of the Jaya Algorithm and capable of finding the optimum result in every run. In this paper EDM machinability of Titanium 685 alloy is also discussed. No work has been reported on EDM machinability of Titanium 685. There is a number of control parameters to control the EDM process. Parameter optimization is done for multi-objective optimization of Titanium alloy 685.

Elimination of oral bacteremia is crucial for healing following root canal therapy. Some antibacterial and chelating substances have been suggested to clean and shape root canals. The present clinical study aimed to evaluate postoperative pain, evaluate bacterial reduction from the root canals and to assess the intensity of bacteremia after mechanical preparation and irrigation using three types of irrigation protocols (1.3% MTAD,5.25% NaOCl, saline). A total of 60 medically free patients of both sexes with single necrotic canals were selected for this study. Patients were classified into three groups. The first group was treated with sodium hypochlorite (1.3%) followed by MTAD, the second group was treated with NaOCL (5.25%) and EDTA, while the third group was treated with saline. The difference between the groups was not statistically significant. However, NAOCL irrigation protocol was the most effective antimicrobial agent. Blood culture method was less sensitive than PCR in bacterial detection and identification. Quantitative q-PCR is rapid, realistic, and more reliable with higher sensitivity and specificity rate for bacterial detection, especially SYBR green I was more precise than TagMan probe. Also, NaOCL was found to be the better irrigant used comparing to MTAD and normal saline regarding bacterial load reduction, which can potentially substitute the ordinary conventional common endodontic irrigants.

The Optimal power flows justify the whole operational planning and operation of power system. Optimal control settings as active power generations, Voltages of all generators, optimal setting of transformer and compensators with a view of minimization of one or more objective functions such as fuel cost, losses, etc. It is a constrained optimization problem statement; it can be solved by traditional mathematical techniques. These techniques grieve from the drawback of landing at sub-optimal solution and difficulties in handling non-differentiable and discontinuous functions. The development of Evolutionary algorithms such as GA, PSO, EP, etc. has tried to overcome the drawbacks. Recently, Flower Pollination Algorithm (FPA), a nature-intriguing algorithm works based on the characteristics off lowering plants. Its evolutionary characteristics can be utilized to determine a solution methodology for optimal power flow. This paper extends to\ndevelop a Flower Pollination Algorithm based methodology for solving Optimal Power Flow with a view to obtain the global best solution and presents the results on IEEE 30 bus system and 118 bus system to display its effectiveness.

The present investigations are focused on structural modification and changes in optical properties of nanostructured ZnO thin film irradiated with Pico second laser at 355 nm wavelength. Nanostructured ZnO thin film was synthesized via spin coating method. Noticeable on Structural modifications are observed which confirmed with XRD patterns, SEM images and FTIR spectra. Effects on the absorption and photoluminescence properties of irradiated samples are investigated at different laser exposure time. Influences on the optical band gaps of the samples are determined using tauc plot. Substantial effects on structural and optical properties of ZnO are caused which attributed to the degradation of crystalline on the thin films due to laser irradiation. The crystalline size is slightly reduced after laser irradiation. The estimated band gaps of ZnO films are narrowed linearly with the increasing of laser exposure time. It is observed that structural, optical and PL properties of films decay significantly by laser energy. Decrease in the intensity of absorption and photoluminescence peaks indicates deteriorate in nanostructured crystalline of film by the laser energy.

Background: The repair of bone defects remains a major clinical orthopaedic challenge. Bone is a highly vascularised tissue reliant on the close spatial and temporal connection between blood vessels and bone cells to maintain skeletal integrity. This study aimed to study the efficacy of Panax ginseng as a osteoinducer in tibia of rat and as a stimulator for bone healing and to study the immunohistochemical expression of osteonectin as bone formation markers in experimental and control groups during bone healing.\nMaterial and method: : In this study thirty albino male rats , weighting (200-300) gram ,aged (2-3) months ,will be used under control conditions of temperature ,drinking and food consumption. The animals will subject for an intrabony defect in medial side of tibiae bone , in control group (10 rats) the bone will be left for healing spontenousely without any treatment , while the experimental group(10 rats) will be treated with local application of spoon excavator of ginseng paste to fill the hole of bone defect. The rats were sacrificed at 7 , 14, days after surgery (five rats for each period in each group).\nResults: Histological findings indicated that bone defect treated with ginseng illustrated an early bone formation, mineralization and maturation in comparison to control group. Immunohistochemical findings revealed high positive expression for osteonectin in experimental in comparison to control group.\nConclusion: The study concluded that ginseng enhance bone healing and maturation, also it regulate the expression of osteonectin in bone.

The article reviews fish farming trends for a Colombian peripheral region, using benchmarking as a methodological tool. It is a bibliographic study that analyzes specific literature on the subject using data records from sources such as books, papers, newsletters, magazines, and newspapers as a data collection tool. Advantages were identified for fish farming such as the use of enriched aquaculture environments, ponds on land, genetically improved species, high technology and equipment for water purification and reuse in fish farming, quality certifications for export, ecological fish farming, use of by-products, adaptation to climate change, among others.

Bifidobacterium longum ATCC 15707, Bifidobacterium adolescentis 2229 and Bifidobacterium angulatum ATCC 27535 were tested for their growth and activity in soymilk, and admixture of soymilk and buffaloe milk , their adherence to goat epithelial cells was also studied. The growth of all species of bifidobacteria was determined in MRSL medium. B. longum and B.adolescentis were more resistant to bile salts than B. angulatum. The activity of Bifidobacterium in soymilk was assessed by following the development of titratable acidity and changes in PH B. longum was the most active species in terms of growth and activity in soymilk B. angulatum had more adherent to goat epithelial cells than the other two species. So soymilk could be added to buffalo milk to produce acceptable functional yoghurt in the ratio of 1:4 and this type of yoghurt could provide unique health benefits to the consumer.

This study, for which several business organizations in the mining sector are analyzed, is related to mining activity and profitability under the parameters of “well-done mining” in the Colombian context according to Colombian mining and environmental authority. Mining constitutes an important line of the national economy, however, its exploitation processes are carried out under the figure of artisanal, illegal mining or with little technification. To analyze this problem, companies from the department of Huila, in the southwest of Colombia, which are dedicated to the exploitation of non-metallic minerals such as dolomite and calcium carbonate, were selected with the objective of determining their profitability and environmental responsibility over the last year in accordance with the regulations established in the national context. For its development, a qualitative approach was chosen to achieve the proposed objectives related to the profitability of the selected companies. As a result, it was found that the financial profitability margins are practically non-existent for the regions where “well-done mining” is executed. However, there is a high rate of employment generation.

A field experiment was conducted during five successive seasons to study the effect of inorganic fertilizers supplemented with irradiated compost on yield and fruit quality of Valencia orange grown in a loamy sand soil. Mineral fertilizers were added throughout five years of the experimental period while compost was added either irradiated or not through three or four years only. Data of five years revealed a significant increase in fruit length, diameter, volume, firmness, number, weight, yield, total soluble solids (TSS) %, TSS/acid ratio, vitamin C, reduced sugars and total sugars in response to addition of irradiated compost. Four years application of compost had a superior effect on the above mentioned measurements over three years application but with few exceptions. Maximum yield and best fruit quality obtained with four years of irradiated compost except juice volume% where the highest value recorded with three years non-irradiated compost. Whereas, fruit shape index, peel thickness and acidity showed no difference among all treatments. Additions of irradiated compost or four years compost application markedly affected post-harvest fruit quality. Such treatments decreased fruit weight loss percentage and increased firmness throughout six weeks storage period. Moreover, the fruits retained more TSS, vitamin C, reduced and total sugars content during storage while no significant effect on juice acidity was recorded. In conclusion, the use of recommended mineral fertilizers combined with irradiated compost significantly improved yield and physicochemical fruit properties of Valencia orange at harvest as well as maintained better post-harvest quality.

Background: Over the previous three decades, rates of the Caesarean section (CS) have risen worldwide. CS-related surgical site infection (SSI) is a prevalent cause of morbidity with reported rates of 3鈥�15%. SSI is a significant burden on the health system, counting prolonged hospitalization, and post-discharge care expenses.\n\nAim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the educational module that aimed to improve nurses鈥� knowledge and practices regarding prevention of Cesarean Section- Surgical Site Infection (CS-SSI). \nMethods: A quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest time-series research design was conducted using a convenience sample of 44 nurses working in the obstetrics and gynecology department at Shebien Elkoom teaching hospital, Menoufiya governorate, Egypt. Pre-post data collected using a structured questionnaire that included a 25-items knowledge assessment and 25 items practices assessment.\nResults: The study results revealed a significant improvement of all participants鈥� knowledge and practices four weeks after educational sessions with a mean score of (23.06卤.86 & 121.78卤2.79, respectively). As well, there was a positive correlation between participants鈥� age, experience, knowledge, and practice.\nConclusion: An educational module on prevention of cesarean section surgical site infection had an encouraging effect. It is recommended to implement such a module using a large sample size and different settings to improve nurses\' competency.

Polymer materials like silicone rubber, ethylene propylene diene monomer, polyurethane are used in the high voltage power transmission cables. Using these polymer materials individually leads to some technical uncertainties due to poor mechanical strength or poor electrical strength which leads to hazards like electric shock, fire accidents, discontinuity etc. Addressing the key issues of hazards reduction, blending of materials which are having good electrical and mechanical strength has been studied under various compositions of properties of polymeric material silicone rubber and polyurethane. SEM analysis has been done for the verification of mixing of polymeric material. Then Chaotic Particle Swarm Optimization (CPSO) was implemented for finding the optimum blend of Silicon-polyurethane for various cable applications. The proposed method formulates identification of optimal polymeric blend ratio (OPBR) which will assist the manufacturers in choosing the OPBR for their applications based on the priority level which can be assigned for the various parameters. The feasibility of the proposed method for blend ratio determination is implemented on blends of Silicone-Polyurethane with promising results. Finally the proposed CPSO method has been compared with GA to prove the robustness of CPSO.

The integration of solar power due to the asynchronous and stochastic nature with conventional energy gives lots of challenges in damping of low frequency oscillations. The design of Unified Power Flow controller (UPFC) with an optimal technique is presented to damping the low frequency oscillations in this dissertation. The optimal technique is the Discrete Binary Cat swarm optimization (DBCSO) technique. By utilizing the DBCSO technique, the UPFC damping controller is formulated. The objective function minimizes the Integral Squared Error (ISE) of change in speed deviation under different loading conditions. The modulation index of series and phase angle of shunt converters of UPFC is simultaneously controlled by the proposed technique. By then, the effectiveness of the proposed technique is actualized through the MATLAB/Simulink working platform. Likewise, the statistical measures and various metrics of proposed and the existing techniques for 50 and 100 number of trials are executed. Finally, the simulation result reveals that the proposed technique damp out the oscillations effectively when compared to the existing techniques such as base, PSO-IGWO and CSO.

This paper presents the various proposed controllers such as proportional integral (PI) controller, field programmable gate array (FPGA) and fuzzy logic controller (FLC) based fault tolerant scheme for four switch voltage source inverter (VSI) with fault recovery times . The proposed fault tolerant topologyhasonly four switches in the inverter with two legs, two switches in auxiliary leg and two triac switches. In this paperthe above three methods aredesigned to detect and isolate the fault occurring in any one of the switches in the inverter.The merit of this system minimizes the time between the fault occurrence and its isolation. The respective controllers generate desire PWM gate pulses for the power switches to control AC drive.In comparison, the modeling,simulation and experimental results showthat the FPGA based scheme is set up a better dynamic characteristicsand fast fault recovery time of below 100ns.

This study aims to report the experience of nursing students about the elaboration of the Nursing Process, using the Nursing Care Systematization, for the elderly with Systemic Arterial Hypertension and Diabetes Mellitus. This is a descriptive study of the experience report type. The activities took place between May and June 2019, in the scope of primary health care. Nursing consultations and home visits to the elderly, hypertensive and diabetic patients were performed. The entire course was guided by the Nursing Process, based on Virginia Henderson\'s Theory of Fundamental Needs. For the elaboration of the diagnoses, intervention and expected results, were used, respectively, the Nursing Diagnosis Association, Nursing Intervention Classification and Nursing Outcomes Classification taxonomies. Four priority diagnoses were listed, as well as their respective interventions and expected results. The Theory of Fundamental Needs corroborated critical thinking and the provision of proper care. The use of the systematic process of care strengthens and enriches professional practice, facilitates communication with the team and patient, directs the best care to be provided and favors the implementation and effectiveness of care, ensuring professional autonomy in the face of decisions and interventions.

Objetivo: elaborar o aplicativo móvel Pé Diabético para o autocuidado e automonitoramento dos pés das pessoas com diabetes. Método: estudo descritivo de desenvolvimento experimental, desenvolvido em 2 etapas, a saber: elaboração do aplicativo e pré-teste. O protótipo foi construído utilizando-se metodologia de engenharia para softwares e como parte final da sua elaboração foi realizado um pré-teste com 15 indivíduos com diabetes através da aplicação de um questionário onde avaliou-se critérios de ergonomia, usabilidade e conteúdo. A análise dos dados foi realizada por meio de frequência e concordância simples entre avaliadores. Resultados: o protótipo obteve avaliação satisfatória, com 80% de concordância simples entre os avaliadores quanto aos critérios avaliados, demonstrando atender às necessidades de autocuidado dos pés. Conclusão: o aplicativo Pé Diabético pode trazer benefícios para controle de fatores de risco, além de reduzir a chance de traumas nos pés, contribuindo no autocuidado e finalmente, reduzindo a ocorrência do pé diabético.

The demand of concrete is increasing day by day for satisfying the need of development of infrastructure facilities. It is well established fact that the production of ordinary Portland cement not only consumes significant amount of natural resources and energy but also releases substantial quantity of carbon dioxide to the atmosphere. Therefore, it is essential to find alternatives to make the concrete environment friendly.\nFly ash based Geopolymer concrete (GPC) is an environment friendly alternative to conventional concrete made from alkali activated alumino-silicate and aggregate. Geopolymer is an inorganic alumino-silicate compound, synthesized from fly ash. The fly ash, one of the source materials for geopolymer binders, is available abundantly in different countries. This paper describes the experimental work conducted by casting geopolymer concrete mix and curing it in atmosphere temperature, and ordinary cement concrete (OPC) to evaluate the efficiency of geopolymer concrete. Out of the 12 cubes and 6 cylinders tested under monotonic loading were made with (GPC) and (OPC). Based on the study carried out, it could be concluded that a geopolymer concrete with proper proportioning of total aggregate content and ratio of fine aggregate to total aggregate, along with the optimum values of other parameters, can have better engineering properties than the corresponding properties of ordinary cement concrete.

A study on wood samples (sample cores) collected from different geographical sites has been carried out to reveal a specific nature of climatic signal presence in tree-ring chronologies of Weymouth Pine (Pinus strobus) and Macedonian Pine (Pinus peuce). This has been followed by a cluster analysis of the generalized indexed chronologies of Weymouth Pine performed using the STATISTICA 6.0 software. The study reveals meteorological factors that reliably correlate to the growth dynamics of the tested trees. It has been found that the studied chronologies contain a drought-associated climatic signal, and the nature of such a signal differs among different species and among chronologies of the same species obtained from various geographical areas. The cluster analysis shows similarities in chronologies of the same species for sites located in a closer proximity to each other, thus proving once again that specific site conditions influence the growth dynamics. This regular pattern can be used as a basis for developing methods of wood origin identification.

Our current societies consume a lot of energy, mostly from non-renewable sources (currently science), such as oil. So, the orientation was to other energy types, such as wind, sun, sea and others. The experiments that dealt with the exploitation of sea water are few, some of them exploited the tide and some of them took advantage of the energy of the waves, as the experience will be addressed in this paper. The main objective of this paper is to convert wave energy to electrical energy by using physical experimental models. The experiments were carried out in a recirculating open channel flume located at the Hydraulics Engineering Laboratory, Higher Institute of Engineering in El Shorouk City. The physical model consists of horizontal cylindrical pipe, with different diameters (2, 3 and 4 inches) having 12 fans connected to each other’s in one horizontal axis which spins on a small gear to another gear which connected to a dynamo through a simple conveyor to produce electrical energy, and also each model work as a floating breakwater to dissipate the wave energy and leading to minimum transmitted wave energy.

Based on the shadow projection method, we obtain an initial image of the surface of a textile packing with the purpose to digitize and subsequently analyze it by the methods of technical vision. We received dependences of the scale of conversion of the shadow size at the surface of a packing, caused by the deviation of its shape from the specified one, into a digitized image. The assigned packing shape is determined by the conditions for its processing during subsequent transitions in textile production. The images received with a sufficiently high frequency of observation are the data for consequent construction of a volumetric model of the packing. Using this model, it is possible to establish deviations in the packing shape form the required one, caused by a violation of conditions in the formation of packing. The impact of design elements in a device for the registration of initial data on the magnitude of conversion scale is established. As a result of research, we received dependences that allow us to reasonably approach the selection of design parameters of a device. The device to control the shape of packing in the process of its unwinding makes it possible to eliminate design defects at the stage of adjusting the mechanism of a bobbin winder and to formulate requirements for its operation. The aim of this work is to determine the basic parameters of the structure of the winding analyzer (WA): a device, which provides continuous monitoring of the structure parameters as the bobbin is unwound and the parameters are quantitatively assessed.

A client oriented satisfaction for airport services is not only tributed to organizational criteria but also to the quality of its infrastructures in line with International Civil Aviation Organization standards and procedures. In order to maintain existing airports infrastructures or to construct new ones according to existing norms and regulations the present paper presents a simplified quick technical audit tool that can be used to control or audit the quality of passed or ongoing rehabilitation and construction projects. The auditing methodology is based on the Deming wheel with its four steps developed according to the company\'s quality assurance plan and to the project technical requirements. Data from an airport rehabilitation project was processed and analyzed from the implemented tool with a digital visualization of results through a graphical interface displaying conformities and nonconformities. Efficiency of the proposed technical audit tool is adopted and applied by the management team of the Douala International Airport Rehabilitation project, with the vital necessity to urgently implement unplanned contractual controls on ongoing projects, and in future rehabilitation projects of others national international airports infrastructures of the country in line with international standards.
